mickey comes from the world of the found object. In this case, I believe the found object to be a balloon mold. At the time when I acquired the parts, I was struck by the resemblance to Mickey Mouse even without identifying details (colour and glove). 

When I matched the larger and smaller parts it was like I had a partial figure and hand.

The legendary wave has entered my work before - in the form of the Queen’s wave and this time I was thinking about Mickey’s wave and conceived this mickey “wave” chorus line.
